Spring Leaves Scarf Free Crochet Pattern

Updated: Mar 30, 2019

This is a lovely, lightweight scarf which is perfect for the chilly spring nights. The scarf has a wonderful texture which reminds me of rippling leaves in a tree. The pattern is easy to create with a simple combination of stitches.

This pattern is perfect for the beginner crocheter.

This finished size of the scarf is approximately 180cm/71” in length and 28cm/11” in width.

Stitches used in this pattern (U.K terms):

Ch – chain

Dc – double crochet

Tr – treble crochet

Materials used:

3.5mm crochet hook

Scheepjes Whirl – Jade Jimjam

Tension:

12 tr and dc pairs and 20 rows = 4” x 4”

To start:

Chain 67

Row 1: Tr in 3rd ch from hook. *Skip next ch, 1 dc and 1 tr in next ch*

Repeat from * to * until there are 2 chains left in the row, skip 1 ch and 1 dc in last ch. Turn.

Row 2: Ch 1, 1 tr in first stitch *skip next tr, 1 dc and 1 tr in next dc*

Repeat from * to * until 2 stitches remain, skip next tr, 1 dc in turning chain. Turn.

Repeat row 2 until desired length.

And that’s it!!
